Vampire Weekend "Fight for this Love" and "I'm Going Down" (Covers)

Two amazing covers by VW, the first of Cheryl Cole's "Fight for this Love" and the second of Bruce Springsteen's "Going Down." I saw VW in Boston this past September and they performed the Bruce cover, and I've been looking for the Mp3 ever since. Well now you have it.

Super good cover of the XX's single "Crystalized" by the Gorillaz.

"Neil Young" feat. Bruce Springsteen "Whip My Hair"

Jimmy Fallon aka Neil Young joins Bruce Springsteen for this hilarious, and surprisingly well done cover of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair." Pure genius.

Ellie Goulding "Your Song (Video)"

Welsh songstress Ellie Goulding lends her soft, delicate voice to the Sir Elton John classic. Ellie really made the song her own, while still retaining the overall atmosphere of the original. This song will be available on the re-release of her excellent debut Lights, titled Bright Lights. Out November 23rd.

Samuel "Find Your Love (Drake Cover)"

Saw this at Kanye's Blog, and decided to check it out. Really interesting take on the original. Got some guitars and such. Just wish it was longer. Pretty sick. Production by The Knocks.

Passion Pit "Tonight, Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins Cover)"

And the Passion Pit train keeps on a rolling, and I couldn't be happier. Amazing cover of the Smashing Pumpkin's classic "Tonight, Tonight." Check out their equally awesome Cranberries cover as well.

Passion Pit "Dreams (Cranberries Cover)"

Awesome cover of the Cranberries' "Dreams." It's works so well, because PP is able to curtail the song to their own style, while still staying true to the original. Also, I've come to the conclusion that lead singer Michael Angelakos could sing the obituaries, and it would still be great. Good looks at PfoP.

Rodrigo y Gabriela "Tamacun (Video)"

While we're on the topic of awesome international guitarists, I figured I'd share this. Rodrigo y Gabriela have been around for a while, but hopefully some of you haven't heard of them. They met in Mexico, and soon moved to Dublin where they made a living busking. While playing at a pub, they were approached by a record exec, and signed. Pretty cool story, and they have the talent to match. Here we have "Tamacun" and a cover of Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven," both off their self-titled debut.

jj "ceo birthday"

A nice little surprise from the mysterious jj. Adhering to their trend of covering popular rap/r&b songs, jj lets loose on Jeremih's "Birthday Sex," and the result is nothing less than interesting, to say the least. jj take a different route, and completely transform the beat, while still remaining faithful to the lyrics.

The Very Best- "Ambling Alp (Yeasayer Cover)"

The Very Best take probably my favorite song off of Yeasayer's most recent release Odd Blood. Honestly, I could listen to lead singer Esau Mwamwaya sing about quantum physics and still find the experience enjoyable. Therefore it makes sense that the melding of Yeasayer's already excellent beat, with Mwamwaya's singing, would make an awesome combination.

Peter Gabriel "Flume (Bon Iver Cover)"

Wow. Absolutely beautiful. Just as haunting as the original, and Gabriel's voice works perfectly with the song, as does the added orchestra. Highly, highly recommended. Saw it at P&P.

Radiohead "Creep (Cover) Video"

Saw this at P&P, and it was just too amazing not to post. A homeless guy on Opie and Anthony sings "Creep" by Radiohead in an interview for their shopping spree thing. Really awesome.
