Samuel "Find Your Love (Drake Cover)"

Saw this at Kanye's Blog, and decided to check it out. Really interesting take on the original. Got some guitars and such. Just wish it was longer. Pretty sick. Production by The Knocks.

Drake "Better Than Good Enough (Outtake)"

If you didn't happen to catch the Drake documentary Better Than Good Enough, which aired on MTV last night, you can watch it here, and I highly recommend it. Basically, it document's Aubrey's life leading up to the release of his debut album. I love documentaries like this because I like seeing the work and production which goes into the album. For me, the producers are just as, if not more, important than the artist who is singing or rapping, and many times you don't get to see all the work they put in. That being said, here's an un-aired outtake from the show, which focuses on the creation of "Fireworks," and talks about the recording of "The Calm" off of SFG.

Francis and the Lights

Probably my favorite song on Drake's Thank Me Later is "Karaoke." What makes this track different from any other on the album is the production. No it's not Kanye, Timbaland, or Boi-1da. The song was actually produced by an electronic band formed at Wesleyan University; Francis and the Lights. Upon finding this out, I did a little research, and now it's obvious why Drake picked them to produce a song on quite possibly the most hyped debut since Kanye's College Dropout. Hailing from New York City, by way of Middletown, Francis and the Lights is led by lead singer Francis Farewell Starlite. I honestly have no real way of describing the band, other than that they are truly unique, and I guess you'll have to see for yourself. Their debut album It'll Be Better hits stores July 20th, but I guess I can let you guys in on a few of my favorites...

Bonus: Speaking of Kanye, here's a cover of "Can't Tell Me Nothing" done by FatL, done a few years back.

Cookin Soul "Thank Us Later (Mixtape)"

As everyone knows, today, June 15th, Thank Me Later hit store shelves. But what a lot of people probably don't know, is that the talented individuals over at Cookin Soul have remixed the entire album for your listening pleasure. So for those of you who feel like Thank Me Later isn't quite what you hoped it to be, or for others who simply want to add to their enjoyment of the album, I highly recommend downloading this tape. So far what I've heard has been good.

Bonus: This is a video of the owners of clothing company Crooks and Castles buying out the entire stock of Thank Me Later at their local Best Buy. Say what you want about the album, but the hype around it has been bonkers. Should be interesting to see what the sales look like.

Drake feat. Lil Wayne and Jay-Z "Light Up (Riker's Remix)"

In honor of the release of Thank Me Later today, OVO unleased this version of "Light Up," on which Wayne spit a few bars over the phone from Riker's Island Prison. Too be honest I could not have been happier by the way Thank Me Later turned out, and it definitely served to enhance SFG, which I loved/love so much. In case you havn't gotten that yet, HERE it is.

Drake "You Know, You Know (Tags)"

A track which didn't make TML, though after just one listen, it certainly should have. Unfortunately, it's tagged off a mixtape, but it's just too damn good to not post. Hopefully a tagless version gets liberated at some point, or Drizzy decides to put it as an extra on TML, which is out June 15th. Produced by Kanye West.

Drake feat. Lil Wayne "Miss Me (CDQ)"

We posted the radio rip of "Miss Me" a couple days ago, and now OVO comes through with the dirty/CDQ version. Thank Me Later June 15th.

Drake "Find Your Love (Video)"

OVO premiered this last night at midnight, but I was too busy today to post it. Anyways, love the song. The video...I don't hate it, I just have no idea what's going on. Still the production is ridiculous, it's almost like a mini-movie. About nothing. Song's good though.
Edit: I think I may understand the video now. But I won't ruin it for ya'll...

Second single off of Thank Me Later. Kanye West production, so you KNOW this is going to be good. OVO has got that good stuff.

Drake "Over"

BAM! Thought we would have to wait till midnight for this one. First single off of Thank Me Later, with production from Boi-1da. Really impressed. Props to NMC, and OVO.
