i took a lot of time away from working on my mixtape to finish this album. The label wanted me to go back in heavy on it. everything is coming along smoothly...i'm gonna add a few more adjustments to the mixtape, it's very close to being done so u can look out for it in the very near future. here's a freestyle produced by Don Cannon (who's hosting the tape as well)! DJ Whoo Kid "10 Freshmen for '10 (Mixtape)"

In case you're not familar with any of the names off of XXL's Top 10 Freshmen for 2010 list, DJ Whoo Kid has compiled a mixtape with new material from each of the freshmen. After one listen, I think all of them did a really good job on their tracks. My favorites however would probably be Wiz and Fashawn after just one listen. Get the download here:

Big Sean feat. Mr. Hudson "Way Out"

This is apparently the first single off of Big Sean's upcoming album Finally Famous. He's consistently put out great mixtapes, and I'm expecting big things from him in '10. That being siad, this song is pretty nice, with Sean's flow working nicely with the song, and Mr. Hudson doing what he does best on the chorus.

Update: I've been reading that this isn't the official version off the album. Who knows what is true, but it's still pretty decent quality. We'll just have to see what happens.
