For those of you who have seen the HBO series How to Make It in America, this is the song in the opening credits (haven't seen it, but my brother loves it, so I'm familiar). Basically, Mr. Blacc sounds like he should be singing a couple decades ago. The backing piano, trumpets, and trombones also help to give the song an old-time feel, while at the same time still being contemporary. Off of Mr. Blacc's upcoming album, Good Things.
