New Chiddy Bang Featuring XV and Killer Mike
Kid Cudi feat. Chip the Ripper and Christian Bale "All Talk"
I was going to leave Kanye at the top all day, as 1. The song is ridiculous and 2. It's new Kanye, so it's a big deal. But this song was so dope, I just had to put it up. Idk what this is from, but it's got everything from the Christian Bale freakout at the beginning, Cudder and Chip doin' their thing, and an LCD Soundsystem sample of "Dance Yrslf Clean." Overall this Friday is shaping up to be a real nice day in the music world.

I'm hoping this album is better than Relapse, but my only question so far is why Pink?
Vampire Weekend "Holiday (Video)"
And I thought the "Giving Up the Gun" video was the best I'd ever seen. I forgot who I'm dealing with. This video is just amazing, and "Holiday" wasn't even one of my favorite songs on the album.

Big Boi "Shutterbug (Video)"
While I'm trying not to break my TV while watching the horrible reffing in the Celts/Magic game, I came across this premiere for the visual for Sir Lucious Left-foot's single off his (hopefully) soon to be released album. Love this record.
Dizzee Rascal "Heavy"
A little UK grime for ya'll on this sweltering Wednesday afternoon. Off Dizzee's re-realease of Tongue N' Cheek titled Tongue N' Cheek: Dirtee Deluxe Edition. Props to PFoP on this one.

Eminem - The Recovery (Artwork)
Drake feat. Lil Wayne "Miss Me (CDQ)"
We posted the radio rip of "Miss Me" a couple days ago, and now OVO comes through with the dirty/CDQ version. Thank Me Later June 15th.
Tyga and Chris Brown "Deuces (Video)"
Off their joint Fan of a Fan mixtape, which you can get here. I havn't downloaded it yet, but if the rest of the songs are anything like this, I just might have to...

Drake feat. Young Jeezy "Unforgettable"
So this premiered a few days ago on Power105, but I've waited until the CDQ came out to post. This is probably the best song besides "Find Your Love" which has come out on TML. Jeezy is just ridiculous, and I'm loving the Aaliyah sample. That being said, this might be unfinished, as Drake is said to have another verse. Also the sample as heard now might not be on the final version, as it might have not gotten clearance. So grab this while you can. Apologies for all the Drake lately, but his album is one of the most highly anticipated maybe ever, and there is not much other music to talk about. Sorry. New Kanye single drops in like a week, so be patient.

Drake "9am in Dallas Freestyle" + Thank Me Later Tracklist
Drake drops some bars over a new Boi-1da beat. To be honest, this is probably the best thing I've heard out of Drizzy in a while, besides maybe Find Your Love. Pretty sure this isn't on TML, but it's still solid nonetheless.
Drake- "9am in Dallas Freestyle"

Janelle Monae "Tightrope (Video)"
Janelle Monae performing her single "Tightrope" on Letterman last night. Idk if you guys follow other music sites, but they have been raving about this performance. And it's deserved. Her album The ArchAndroid is utterly fantastic. I've listened to it three times in the past hour. Go out and buy it now.
Wiz Khalifa "The Statement (Video)"
Street Video for "The Statement" of that KxOJ. If you STILL haven't gotten your hands on this tape (and frankly I don't know what's taking so long), get it HERE.
Donnis "Yup"
New Donnis for ya'll. Off his upcoming mixtape Fashionably Late dropping June 22nd, along with an EP. Super pumped for this project. For those of you not familiar with this XXL Freshman, cop his Diary of an Atlanta Brave tape HERE, and get familiar.

Nike "Heroes of Speed"
This has nothing to do with music, but I'm a huge soccer fan and the mercurial vapors are my favorite boots. Anyways, Nike launched the Mercurial Vapors in 1998 as its premier speed boot. So in honor of the World Cup, they have put together a series of animated videos which feature past and present wearers of the boot. The videos are created by Danijel Zezelj, and will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Head over to Heroes of Speed for a closer look at all the videos.
Jonsi + Icelandic Volcanos
Saw this at P&P and it was too cool not to post. Basically, this guy Sean Stiegemeier took a bunch of pictures of the now infamous Iceland volcanos. Then he made a video and set it to Jonsi's (the lead singer for Sigur Rios) “KolniĂ°ur," and the results are amazing.

Curren$y "King Kong (Video)"
Visuals for Spitta's first single off of Pilot Talk, which has been pushed back AGAIN to June 15th. Really looking forward to this album. I wish it would drop already.
Drake "July"
A "new" song by Drake. It's actually an old song by Jhene Aiko. Still it's pretty good, and the beat and overall feeling of the song remind me a lot of So Far Gone. At the very least it's something to hold us over until TML drops in about a month.
Bonus:
This is a track which will apparently be on TML, just updated with a verse from Wayne, longer, and with a different chorus. This has the potential to be real nice.

Drake "Find Your Love (Video)"
OVO premiered this last night at midnight, but I was too busy today to post it. Anyways, love the song. The video...I don't hate it, I just have no idea what's going on. Still the production is ridiculous, it's almost like a mini-movie. About nothing. Song's good though.
Edit: I think I may understand the video now. But I won't ruin it for ya'll...

Wiz Khalifa "KxOJ Mixtape Daily (Video)"
Annnnnnnnnd one last video for ya'll before I go to sleep. This is the MTV Mixtape Daily feature on Wiz Khalifa. You might be getting sick of all the Wiz hype that Mike and I have been throwing at ya'll, but even if you don't like him or his music, you'll be thanking us later when you can tell your friends you've known about him for years. And if you STILL don't have it, get it here:
Rodrigo y Gabriela "Tamacun (Video)"
While we're on the topic of awesome international guitarists, I figured I'd share this. Rodrigo y Gabriela have been around for a while, but hopefully some of you haven't heard of them. They met in Mexico, and soon moved to Dublin where they made a living busking. While playing at a pub, they were approached by a record exec, and signed. Pretty cool story, and they have the talent to match. Here we have "Tamacun" and a cover of Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven," both off their self-titled debut.
Seu Jorge "Changes (Video)"
For anyone who has seen The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, you will recognize this guy. For those of you who haven't (and I recommend you do), this guy Seu Jorge covers a bunch of David Bowie songs in the movie. And he does it in Portuguese. I'm not a big Bowie fan, but this is just great stuff. He has a whole album out of just him covering Bowie songs, of which there is not a single bad track.
Erik Mongrain - Equilibrium
Instrumental acoustic guitar at its best. These aren't straight chords one after another. Erik uses different dynamics like bends, artificial and natural harmonics, slides and sweet melodies. He paints a soothing and epic picture. Gives me chills every time. Check out A Ripple Effect and Pandora's Box. Released in 2008.

Between the Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect
Well this is my first post and I want start off on the right foot. This is B.T.B.A.M.'s sixth studio album counting The Anatomy Of.... They've only refined their skills after Colors and it shows. If you're into progressive metal with a kick check this one out. My favorite is still Obsfuscation. Released Oct. 27th, 2009 \m/

The Dream feat. T.I. "Make-Up Bag"
Young Jeezy "The Introduction (Video)"
White Panda "Drake & Diane"
Another RIDICULOUS mash-up from White Panda. Drake's "Over" vs. John Cougar Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane." This is just awesome, and I could use some awesomeness in the midst of these finals. Spotted at P&P. Oh and that's the new cover for Drake's album Thank Me Later. Yikes.

Big K.R.I.T. "K.R.I.T. Wuz Here (Album)"
I posted about K.R.I.T. last week, and today his album dropped. The thing is, it's free. Normally this would mean the production or quality isn't very good. This could not be further from the truth. K.R.I.T. produced all the tracks on this album, and they are very good. Guest appearences by Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, and Devin the Dude don't hurt either. The tape is dope. Enough said.
Labels:
big krit,
curren$y,
devin the dude,
wiz khalifa
Chiddy Bang "Pass Out (Video)"
Different day, same story from the guys at Chiddy Bang. Honestly, I can't remember a bad thing they have ever done. Off their Air Swell mixtape, which is dope of course.
